Since the age of fourteen, Stanley DeSarmes has had a love for fashion. Growing up in New York, he was exposed to a beautiful pallet of fashion - and loved every bit of it.  The fashion industry made him feel alive. It’s no wonder that he started modeling at the age of 20.  Desperate to break into the world of high fashion modeling, Stanley knew that he had to start off with humble beginnings; he started modeling in local Boston runway shows.  Many of these runway shows did not pay, but they offered him a platform to master his walk and his look.   

But Stanley wanted more. He decided to pursue this fascinating industry, and made his way to New York City – the "Fashion Capital" of the world.  While in New York, he did much of the same work he was doing in Boston, but was also able to add fashion photo shoots to his resume.     

Stanley soon grew tired of how he was being treated in the often-brutal fashion world. Although fashion was his passion, he decided to take a break. He returned to Boston to do some re-evaluating

However, Stanley could not stay away from this illustrious world for too long and soon returned.  This time he returned as a budding fashion photographer.  With a fascination for black & white photography, he embarked on this journey on the other side of the lense.  He offered very inexpensive photo shoots to the starving artists of Boston and New York.  His client list was made up of models, singers, actors, and rappers.  

While working as a photographer (and from first hand experience), he sympathized with models (trying to break into the industry) that were always getting ripped off by talent scouts, agencies, and photographers. Stanley decided to help by starting iMan Model and Management Group which has since changed its name to iMan Fashion Group, LLC.  iMan was founded in 2006.  "My sole mission is to give these up-and-coming models a chance at really breaking into the industry without breaking the bank."

Always craving the world of runway fashion, iMan Fashion Group has made it their goal to continue providing a platform for the up-and-comers of the Fashion Industry. IFG helps models, designers, makeup artists, hair stylists and photographers make a name for themselves by exposing them to all the right elements that will help catapult their careers in the palatial world of Fashion!
